Jim played in the AOHL for many years up until 2003. He was a great competitor and truly understood the values of teamwork and fun. Jim also new that when the competition was over - it was time for a pop, some laughs, and some good stories. He also contributed countless hours to Minor Hockey in Ajax; Coaching, Convening, serving on the Executive and encouraging kids of all ages to try their best and to enjoy the game. Jim always worked to take the bureaucracy out of the game and "just let the kids play". He will be missed. Annual General Meeting: was held on Wednesday April 14th, 2010 at 7:30pm. Carruthers Room at the ACC. General League business and elections. Check your team rep for info. Helmets: Check your helmets to be sure they are still providing proper protection. Most helmets have a limited life and the foam starts to break down or get very hard. Once that happens, the helmet doesn't protect you as well and you may suffer a concussion if your head hits the ice, boards, glass, or another player. A player in our league fell and hit his head last week, incurring a second degree concussion while wearing an older helmet that showed no visible signs of deterioration.
